SBI-Banker for life

State Bank of India (SBI) is an Indian multinational, public sector banking and financial services company. It is a government-owned corporation with its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra. SBI entered the league of the 50 largest banks in the world with 278,000 employees, 420 million customers, and more than 24,000 branches and 59,000 ATMs, as a consequence of the merger of five of its associate banks in the April of 2017. It has 198 offices in 37 countries; 301 correspondents in 72 countries. The company is ranked 232nd on the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's biggest corporations as of 2016.

Challenge

The client expected a series of impactful promotional videos analogous with the various cycles of one's life, highlighting that SBI is a banker in all the stages of a person’s life. Using the storytelling technique of the “slice of life” we needed to present a sample of a character's life. The plot had to progress around the prime monetary decisions that one makes in life and portray the way SBI makes these decisions easy, hassle-free and seamless.

Solution

Since the team had worked earlier on some of those products for the print advertisements, it did not take much time for the preparation. With a systematic research on all the products, the team rigged up to produce the content. The creative team worked in synergy to develop interesting and captivating content to engage the audience using a variety of approaches. The CD’s creative insights blended with effective copy, churned out the best of the web series from Adsyndicate.

Achievement

The copy for the promotional videos was presented at SBI, Mumbai. The client wanted minor alterations in the script and required the language of the script to be a little lighter and informal.

Once the script was approved, ADSTUDIO left no stone unturned to make this project a grand success. After a short turnaround period, the spellbinding audio-visual treat was finally ready to be served for the audience. The web-series were released phase by phase on the major social-media platforms and till date it continues to gain a wonderful response from the Target Group as well.
